Sponsor us

“Whatever is to become of books?”, the London Design Festival 2011 event on which Story Of Books is based on, was a non-profit event.

It was made possible through the support of University College London (UCL)’s Department of Anthropology, publishers, academic bodies, sponsorship by companies such as Paul Wayne Gregory Chocolates and NestlĂ©, and through the ticket sales which covered the cost of travel tickets and food (and we made sure everyone was fed and watered).

More importantly, it was supported by fellow tech and design enthusiasts, members of the Sojournposse collective, and postgrad researchers of Msc Digital Anthropology and Medical Anthropology, UCL. Entry fees and marketing costs were sponsored in cash and kind by Sojournposse Purpose.

Our aim is not only to present the ‘market-driven’ findings, but also other more ‘social’ findings and also ground-breaking (but small) innovations by designers, students and academics that are just as relevant to the development of modern book publishing. The Story of Books is the platform to showcase these independent and emerging talents.
